Charities We Support
Only Make Believe provides interactive theatrical performances conducted by a team of actors to hospitals. Only Make Believe serves children living with chronic illnesses and disabilities and is dedicated to the principle that freeing a child's creative spirit is essential to the healing process.
In March 2013, milkPOP collaborated with Little West Group for our workshop at petitePARADE to raise all profits for Only Make Believe. Converse donated sneakers and milkPOP creator Jena Scaccetti hand drew each pair with milkPOP characters. Jena also made a milkPOP toy chest that OMB donated to a children's hospital and raised almost $2000.00 for the charity.
The New York Foundling provides havens for children whose safety is at risk, loving foster and group facilities to protect children and support for families to strengthen them.
In October 2012, milkPOP donated all profits from our art workshop at petiteParade and Vogue Bambini's Kids Fashion Week to NY Foundling.
Free Arts NYC helps low-income, homeless and abused children re-imagine their worlds through the creative arts. They provide under-served children and families a unique combination of educational arts and mentoring programs that help them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential.
In March 2012, milkPOP donated all profits from our workshop at petitePARADE and Vogue Bambini's Kids Fashion Week to Free Arts. Vans donated sneakers for us to decorate and sell. We had so much fun decorating Vans with DJ Cassidy and his protege DJ Fulano, who was 8 years old at the time.
In August 2012, we donated milkPOP tee shirts for a tie dye station and volunteered for the bi-annual Free Arts Kidsfest in East Hampton, NY. NBA players Jason Kidd from the NY Knicks and Deron Williams from the Brooklyn Nets stopped by with their kids to make shirts with us.
